ChatZaku Print view

Dear users,

We are proud to announce that ZeroZaku is getting its own IRC network!

To access it, you'll need a client, such as Irssi, Pidgin or mIRC. You can use Mibbit to chat in your browser. A custom web IRC interface is in the works. Here is a tutorial I've created on how to access our network.

Here's our network information:
Server address: irc.zerozaku.com
Port: 6665-6669 plain text, 6697 SSL

Channels:
#zerozaku - main channel
#chatzaku - network help channel

Little downtime earlier today. Back up and running smoothly now.

Why do you think that? Our developers are working on a new web-based client which will be as seamless as the current Facebook-like CometChat. The only difference will be that it'll run with an IRC backend, allowing for both chatrooms and user-to-user conversations, as well as providing an open protocol for power users to use their clients with.

By the way, we're happy to announce that ChatZaku has been moved as part of the migration and is now being ran from irc.zerozaku.com on our dev1 server.

We don't need ZeroZaku. Or Games to manipulate. Or soda. Good food.
You're saying that we should keep everything as minimal as possible? I don't agree with you. I think the irc network is a good idea and the chat front-end is even better. I fail to see why you would think negatively of the addition.

By the way, we don't need humanity. We don't even need the world to exist. Yet it does.

If you don't feel this will bring anything positive to you, that's fine. But it certainly won't bring anything negative. It'll just allow for more control both on the side of power users as well as moderators. For us, it's also a big plus because even if the web server is down, you can keep yourself updated, since we now have a network of two IRC servers. It's almost bulletproof.

You've said that like three times already. Now you seem like a politician. If you want to have any place at all in this discussion, I suggest you explain your point of view.

And, I agree with sup — if you don't want it, don't use it. It's not like we have a limited supply of things we can work on, and that we're putting money towards this project which is coming out of the taxes you pay or something.
